The policy covers labourers at the public as
well as all manpower hired at the private
sectors. Any employer is subject to the
jurisprudence once (5) individuals are hired.
This law is binding. In 1994 another Act was
ratified for Sudanese working abroad, validated
1998.

Fund-Social Insurance. This was administratively
and financially inaugurated as a separate entity
with a successively permanent function. It was

Financing: |
|
Contributions by the beneficiaries is the main fountain, forming 25% of the
budget. It is calculated on the basic salary of insured individuals added to the
housing and work nature allowances. The employer shall bear 17% while the
employed pay 8%. The revenues collected are publicly, specified for social
insurance purposes. |

Insurance Benefits: |
|
The Fund bears several insurance facilities,
pensionary or compensative when certain
conditions are satisfied e.g. |
- Old Age Pensions on reaching 60 or 55 years, according to the situation,
or 12 years of contribution.
- Early old Age Pension: accrues at 45 years or more according to situation,
at a minimum 12 years of contribution.
- Health Disability Pension: provided that the incident is in service.
- Normal Death Pension, provided in happens during the service of the
insured or within a year after termination, of in service.
- Ministerial Termination, provided the terminated has paid contributions
for 12years.
- Work Accident Pension provided
conformity to the approved definition. No
term of office in necessary.
